a few upcoming events
5th May 2010
The season's in full swing now and i thought i'd just "big-up" a few really kicking events that i'll be visiting - if you've got any sense and follow Skate or surf you'll be there too!
Relentless NASS - 9th - 11th July
First up, taking place on the 9th - 11th of July is the Relentless NASS action and music festival. Its held down at the Bath and West showground (not far from Bristol) and you can expect to be blown away with some great BMX, Inline Skate and world cup skateboarding, not to mention live music from Bowling for soup, Chase & Status live, Plan B, Tinie Tempah etc.
Personally, I'm most excited by the prospect that the skate has become a world cup sanctioned event with a purse of £9000 up for grabs...... keep your eyes glued to the website for updates.

Relentless Boardmasters - 3rd - 8th August
This years Boardmasters features a blinding "A" list of music including Newton faulkner, Leftfield and Seasick Steve, plus loads of supporting acts. Of course the real reason you're there is the sport and in particular the Surfing. The Boardmasters is the only chance you'll get to see some of the worlds best surfers battle it out on these shores for a purse of $120,000 - this is a 5 star ASP WQS event, lets hope the weather is better this year!

My personal favourite at the Boardmasters has to be the Vert skating, these guys make it look easy, but when your standing at the top looking down, waiting to drop in.......whoa! and i was just taking photo's (check out the shot below which Vans made into a poster)
expect to see some heavey hitters crossing the pond from the good ol USA including Alex Perelson, and Neal Hendrix as well as local shredders the two Sams, Beckett and Bosworth, as usual going Huge.
